All Around the Mulberry Bush

We have a very large mulberry bush (tree) at the side of our house. For approximately 2 weeks every summer, we get a LOT of berries which Alanna LOVES picking.

Some people have asked what a mulberry bush looks like, so I'm putting some pictures here. We've been making mulberry jam and mulberry/rhubarb crumble which are both wonderful!

    Too funny. We had a Mulberry tree in our back yard that was as tall as our house. It was beautiful, but it berried for at least two months straight, and made it so we couldnt use/play in that area of the yard, the kids would have purple polka dot butts and clothes, the dog would also be spotted, and all of our furniture would stained... oh yeah.. and the purple bird poop.

    We had it cut down this spring to take back our back yard! lol
